Tafseer of Surah Al-Mulk 67 Full (verse 3-7)

Introduction

بِسْــــــــــــــــــمِ اﷲِالرَّحْمَنِ اارَّحِيم

Surah Al-Mulk (verse 3-7): ٱلسَّلَامُ عَلَيْكُمْ may Allah’s mercy blessings be on you. Alhamdulillah we are still with Surah Al-Mulk the 67th chapter of the Quran. So, let’s continue the third verse and go deep inside and see why Surah Mulk is so important in the Quran. Inshaallah!

Tafseer of Surah Al-Mulk (verse 3-7)

Allah Almighty says in Surah Al-Mulk, as we mention in the verse 2-3

ٱلَّذِى خَلَقَ سَبْعَ سَمَـٰوَٰتٍۢ طِبَاقًۭا مَّا تَرَىٰ فِى خَلْقِ ٱلرَّحْمَـٰنِ مِن تَفَـٰوُتٍ فَٱرْجِعِ ٱلْبَصَرَ هَلْ تَرَىٰ مِن فُطُورٍۢ

the one who created the seven skies into the layers and we explained these skies into the layers and the distance between one sky to another skies. Then Allah Almighty says, (مَّا تَرَىٰ فِى خَلْقِ ٱلرَّحْمَـٰنِ مِن تَفَـٰوُتٍۢ) you will not see in the creation of the most merciful any inconsistency that there is no any error there is no any problem there is no any fault in the creation of Allah (SWT), he is creating these massive skies and below the skies what is it nothing. What is this small world? What is this big sun compared to this small world but what is the size of this big sun compared to this big massive sky? Subhan-allah glory be to Allah and you have galaxies and this is all into the first sky, first heaven.

So Allah Almighty says in Surah Al-Mulk after that (مَّا تَرَىٰ فِى خَلْقِ ٱلرَّحْمَـٰنِ مِن تَفَـٰوُتٍۢ)which means, (You do not see in the creation of the Most Merciful any inconsistency) (فَٱرْجِعِ ٱلْبَصَرَ هَلْ تَرَىٰ مِن فُطُورٍۢ) do you see any breaks, any cracks nothing everything is perfect, Allah Almighty repeated the same thing in the next verse of Surah Mulk, he says,

ثُمَّ ٱرْجِعِ ٱلْبَصَرَ كَرَّتَيْنِ يَنقَلِبْ إِلَيْكَ ٱلْبَصَرُ خَاسِئًۭا وَهُوَ حَسِيرٌۭ

which means, then return your vision twice again your vision will return to you humbled while it is you know satan, he has completely gone with humbleness completely you will not find anything, it will come as you know complete with humbleness and humiliated.

So imagine Allah (SWT) what he saying, ثُمَّ ٱرْجِعِ ٱلْبَصَرَ كَرَّتَيْنِ twice look into the sky, twice look into the creation of Allah Almighty.

يَنقَلِبْ إِلَيْكَ ٱلْبَصَرُ خَاسِئًۭا وَهُوَ حَسِيرٌۭ

It will come back to you with nothing, it will come to you humbled and it will come back to you completely in a miserable way because you will not find any fault you will not find any problem in the creation of Allah Almighty and this is what happened to those who are trying to see only and only false in the religion of Allah. They will try to see false in the creation of Allah Almighty, they will try to see the faults in the Almighty by himself and try to say things.

When they will realize and when they will go deep and trying to fight find any fault or any problems, what will happen, ثُمَّ ٱرْجِعِ ٱلْبَصَرَ كَرَّتَيْنِ يَنقَلِبْ إِلَيْكَ ٱلْبَصَرُ خَاسِئًۭا وَهُوَ حَسِيرٌۭ, they will keep trying and trying their vision will come back to them and it’s humbled and completely humiliated. So, never ever look down upon the creation of Allah Almighty and upon the religion of Allah Almighty that he gave us as a blessing. So, we can carry it and take it in our life, we can live within it then Allah Almighty says in Surah Al-Mulk,

لَقَدْ زَيَّنَّا ٱلسَّمَآءَ ٱلدُّنْيَا بِمَصَـٰبِيحَ وَجَعَلْنَـٰهَا رُجُومًۭا لِّلشَّيَـٰطِينِ وَأَعْتَدْنَا لَهُمْ عَذَابَ ٱلسَّعِيرِ

This means, (And we have certainly beautified the nearest sky, we beautify the nearest sky which means, Is the first sky with what with the stars and have made from what it is thrown to the devils and have prepared for them the punishment of the blazes?”

This is the tafsir of Surah Mulk, this is the translation of verse number five, but we will continue more in detail with each letter, Inshallah! Allah Almighty says in the next verse of surah mulk, We have beautified the first skies, the first heaven for you and he made it beautified it from what? (بِمَصَـٰبِيحَ) he made stars and the sun, the moon, and everything but at the same time these things that we see are so beautiful right in the night, you see these small lights coming out of the stars, these are so beautiful, right?

But at the same time, they are what (وَجَعَلْنَـٰهَا رُجُومًۭا لِّلشَّيَـٰطِينِ) and we made them as something that we will throw to the devils. How many times in the night, when you are in the desert or at the beach or at a place where you can see the skies clear with these beautiful stars, and out of sudden, you will see one star is just moving to go somewhere right, it will be going either from left to right or right to left or somewhere right and we are so you know even enjoying that scene. My brothers and sisters, In reality, Allah Almighty is punishing and throwing these stars as something to hit the devils.

Can you imagine, yes Allah Almighty hitting the the devils with these stars, but we are seeing it so beautiful right in the sky, not only that Allah Almighty saying in Surah Al-Mulk that,

“Yes we are hitting the devils and shayateen the demons with these stars, but not only that (وَأَعْتَدْنَا لَهُمْ عَذَابَ ٱلسَّعِيرِ) and we prepared for these peoples with these demons and these devils and the bad jinns, the punishment of the blazes on the day of judgment “

Not only that Allah Almighty talks about, how people, and he said in Surah Mulk verse six,

(وَلِلَّذِينَ كَفَرُوا۟ بِرَبِّهِمْ عَذَابُ جَهَنَّمَ وَبِئْسَ ٱلْمَصِيرُ)

“And for those who disbelieved in their lord is the punishment of hell, and wretched is the destination “

So, can you imagine now, those who are disbelieving in Allah Almighty, those who are not following the path of Allah Almighty, they are keeping the deen, they are keeping the religion, they are keeping the Islam in the side and they want to do whatever they want to do as just we mentioned previously, what will happen to them, Allah says (وَلِلَّذِينَ كَفَرُوا۟) those who just believed in Allah Almighty, what will happen to them (بِرَبِّهِمْ عَذَابُ جَهَنَّمَ) they will go through the punishment of the hellfire. Not only that (وَبِئْسَ ٱلْمَصِيرُ) their destination, their final destination is horrible for these people.

Not only that Allah Almighty continues to tell about these people,

(إِذَآ أُلْقُوا۟ فِيهَا سَمِعُوا۟ لَهَا شَهِيقًۭا وَهِىَ تَفُورُ)

This means when they are thrown into it into hellfire, they will hear it and they will inhaling, they will hear the noise and the sound, while it’s boiling up. Can you imagine (إِذَآ أُلْقُوا۟ فِيهَا) once they are thrown into this hellfire this horrible place (سَمِعُوا۟ لَهَا شَهِيقًۭا)some of the scholars they said mean they hear the people are screaming and people are just screaming because of the pain (شَهِيقًۭا وَهِىَ تَفُورُ) and it’s boiling up and it will boil these people these disbelievers, it will boil them up.

Conclusion:

So, imagine what will happen to those who disbelieve in Allah Almighty, may Allah (SWT) protect us, and may Allah keep us on the straight path the path of Allah Almighty. Islam according to the guidance of the Prophet Muhammad ﷺ and all the previous Prophets we follow them and obey them and we follow the path of Islam obeying Allah Almighty. so, at the last take care of yourself. ٱلسَّلَامُ عَلَيْكُمْ
