Tafseer of Surah Al Mulk (Verses No 24–25)

Alright, so last time we got to verse number 23, if you remember. And inshallah, today we’re going to keep moving forward and pick up from verses 24 and 25. But before we actually jump into this new ayah, I thought it might be a good idea to just do a quick little recap of Surah Mulk itself. Just to kind of refresh our memories, both mine and yours.

Tafseer of Surah Al Mulk

This Surah, it’s a Makki Surah – you know, it was revealed way back in Mecca, before Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) made hijrah. And get this, we also have tons of hadiths, tons of sayings from Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) specifically about Surah Mulk!

And here’s something amazing to think about: If you make it a habit to read Surah Mulk every single day, or every single night, especially if you read Surah Mulk right before you go to sleep – based on the hadith of Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) – this Surah, with Allah Almighty’s will, it’ll actually protect you, you know, it’ll protect its “companion.” And when we say “companion,” it means someone who’s always reciting Surah Mulk, making it their buddy, basically.

It’s only 30 verses long, just 30 little verses, but the impact, the meaning packed into these 30 verses? So, let’s pray that Allah (SWT) blesses all of us to really understand the Quran, and to really, really dig deep into the meanings of the Quran. Okay then, let’s get started with the Tafseer!

Allah Almighty says in verse No. 24

Which means, “Say, ‘It is He who has multiplied you throughout the earth’, and to Him you will be gathered.” Now, what is the meaning of this ayah? Let’s look in depth and try to translate it into easy word that you can understand.

But, as I said in the beginning, whenever you find the word قُلْ in the Quran, it means that Allah (SWT) is telling Prophet Muhammad (PBUH), قُلْ “Oh Muhammad, say O Muhammad to the people.”

Now, it could be Muslims, non-Muslims, believers, or non-believers. But this is the direct instruction from Allah Almighty to Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) and he says, قُلْ “Oh Muhammad”.

Also in verse No. 23, we see in certain verse of Quran:

(١) قُلْ أَعُوذُ بِرَبِّ ٱلنَّاسِ

(١) قُلْ أَعُوذُ بِرَبِّ ٱلْفَلَقِ

(١) قُلْ هُوَ ٱللَّهُ أَحَدٌ

(١) قُلْ يَـٰٓأَيُّهَا ٱلْكَـٰفِرُونَ

Tafseer of Surah Al Mulk (Verse 24–25)

So, any time you read the word قُلْ, automatically you will understand that the Allah Almighty is saying to Prophet Muhammad ﷺ to reply and answer the people and say what exactly they need to know. So, first Allah Almighty says, قُلْ “Oh Muhammad, tell them.” What?

Allah Almighty, he is the one who multiplied you on earth. Amazingly, Allah (SWT) made us with different colours, different nations, different languages, different faces and everything is different and Allah Almighty keeps multiplying us until the day of judgment.

Look at the beauty and creation of Allah, who created us from the time of Adam (PBUH) until today. How many tillions and trillions of people live on the surface of the earth? How many people do you know look the same? Yes, I understand that, There are people who look the same. They are almost very closed, when you see.

[Example]

Yah, I saw this brother, and i saw same brother in another country with same face, same body language and same excalty look like this one. In only few cases,

But imagine: How many of us look alike? There may be only a few, right? So, look at the creation of Allah Almighty that created and keeps multiplying us from different nations, different religions, different backgrounds, and everything else. But yet, our faces are different, and our finger print are different. “Subhanallah”

[Example]

You seen a same face people, a little bit same, but the finger print of these two same face people are different, the eye prints are different, the DNA of these two same face people are different. It’s completely different. So, look at the beauty of the creation of Allah Almighty.

So, after all this, what will happen? Allah Almighty said: That these non-believers and non-Muslims says in ayah No. 25,

Which means, “And they say, When is this promise, if you should be truthful?” So, now these people (non-believers), who are denying Allah (SWT), are denying the day of judgment. They will say,

Tafseer of Surah Al Mulk (Verse 24–25)

When this time will come, when the day of judgment will come, when the promise that you are making that we will die and be resurrected will come, when will this happen? اِنْ كُنْتُمْ صٰدِقِیْنَ, if you are really truthful, if you saying the right thing. So, they are denying Allah (SWT) and this was the case that Prophet Muhammad ﷺ, this was time even, after the Prophet Muhammad ﷺ, you will find the people that they are denying until today.

Conclusion

So, think about it – it’s been, like, 1440 years since the Quran came and since Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) was around, right? And even now, you still have people out there, especially people who are powerful, who just say, “Nah, we don’t believe in any Day of Judgment. We don’t even care about it. When’s this ‘Judgment Day’ supposed to happen anyway? When is this ‘promise’ that we’re gonna die and then come back to life – when’s that gonna happen? Show us!” You know, they’re just making fun of it, totally denying Allah (SWT). They’re acting like it’s all a joke.

But then you’ve got those who do believe in Allah, who do try to follow the right path, who do follow Islam and the way of Prophet Muhammad (PBUH). For them, it’s different. They will be guided, they will find true success, and guess what? They will see the proof, they will see the results, on the Day of Judgment itself, inshallah. So, yeah, in the end, just take care of yourselves, everyone, and may Allah’s peace, mercy, and blessings be with you all.
