Tafseer of Surah Mulk (Verses No. 27-28) Complete

I’ll just go back one verse, which is verse No. 26, and then I will continue. So, you will refresh your information. I told you in the last verse No. 26 that Allah Almighty is saying to Prophet Muhammad [PBUH] that he should tell them,

(۲۶) قُلْ اِنَّمَا الْعِلْمُ عِنْدَ اللّٰهِ۪ وَ اِنَّمَاۤ اَنَا نَذِیْرٌ مُّبِیْنٌ

Tell them, O Muhammad, that the knowledge of the hour is with Allah Almighty, and I’m only a clear warner. Now, these non-believers are denying the day of judgment, denying the day of resurrection, denying accountability, denying hell, and denying heaven; they are denying everything.

Tafseer of Surah Al-Mulk

Now, you might know what will happen to them. Now, you will know from the verse that I will recite.

Allah Almighty said in verse No. 27,

Which means, “But when they see it approaching, the faces of those who disbelieve will be distressed, and it will be said, That is that for which you used to call.” What is the meaning, and what is the deep meaning of this ayah?

When these disbelievers, non-Muslims, those who are denying Allah Almighty and the signs of Allah Almighty and the day of judgment and the day of resurrection and the day of accountability.

They will see it on the day of judgment, because Allah Almighty will resurrect everyone right from the time of Prophet Adam علیہ السلام, all the way until the day of judgment. You know, in between there are many millions and trillions, and how many, you know, you cannot even count.

Imagine the numbers: zillions, trillions of people—all these people. After they are dead, Allah Almighty will resurrect them, and, of course, when they are dead, this is also extracted from the Quran. Where Allah (SWT) says,

“Every single creation of Allah Almighty on the face of this earth will die, and only and only what will remain is Allah’s face.”

Which means Allah Almighty will be the only one alive, and everything else is dead. On that day Allah Almighty will command everyone to resurrect, and it’s also said that they will come out of the earth.

As a plant coming from the earth or from the floor, they will come back, and then these non-believers, disbelievers, this is what will happen to them. فَلَمَّا رَاَوْهُ they will see the day of judgment, they will see the angels, they will see the punishment, they will see the Jannah, the paradise, they will see everything. زُلْفَةً سِیْٓــٴَـتْ, when they see everything approaching them, سِیْٓــٴَـتْ وُجُوْهُ الَّذِیْنَ كَفَرُوْا, the faces of the disbelievers will become distressed.

Tafseer of Surah Mulk

It will become completely black; they have no hope, nothing; it’s completely out of the question; they will not have anything to say; they are completely distressed; they are completely disappointed; their faces are completely black, and they have nothing to say, and Allah (SWT) said, وَ قِیْلَ, and they will be told, هٰذَا الَّذِیْ, that this is what you are calling for basically; they are not calling it for, but Allah Almighty is now mocking them.

Saying that, you know it the other way around, because they used to deny it, Allah Almighty is saying now, “Yeah, this is it, this is what you are calling for right here in front of you.”.

So, this is the meaning of verse No. 27, in an easy and most beloved way. I hope that you understand. So, let’s move to verse No. 28, where Allah Almighty said:

(۲۸) قُلْ اَرَءَیْتُمْ اِنْ اَهْلَكَنِیَ اللّٰهُ وَ مَنْ مَّعِیَ اَوْ رَحِمَنَا فَمَنْ یُّجِیْرُالْكٰفِرِیْنَ مِنْ عَذَابٍ اَلِیْمٍ

Which means, “Say, ‘O Muhammad,’ Have you considered whether Allah should cause my death and those with me or have mercy upon us, who can protect the disbelievers from a painful punishment?”

So, imagine now Allah Almighty again telling them through Prophet Muhammad ﷺ to these people, these disbelievers, اَرَءَیْتُمْ اِنْ اَهْلَكَنِیَ اللّٰهُ وَ مَنْ مَّعِیَ, that is, if Allah Almighty will completely cause us the death. Will make the death come to us, اَوْ رَحِمَنَا, or he will have mercy on us, فَمَنْ یُّجِیْرُالْكٰفِرِیْنَ, who will really pull the non-believers from, مِنْ عَذَابٍ اَلِیْمٍ, that,

Who will really save the disbelievers? It means you have to listen to the Prophet Muhammad ﷺ; you have to take the guidance and the teaching of Prophet Muhammad ﷺ. Because once you are away from Prophet Muhammad ﷺ, you will die upon your disbelief. Then, it’s a serious issue, and the same thing will happen and apply at this time.

If people know whose Prophet Muhammad ﷺ, reading this biography, reading why he came?

Allah Almighty sent him to this world, etc. He is only and only sent as a mercy to the human being; he sent as a mercy to the world; he sent as a mercy to everything, including humans, animals, and birds—all the creation of Allah Almighty—and, then again, you are denying him; again, you don’t want to follow his teachings; again, you don’t want to follow his footsteps, and you are denying him, and you’re denying Allah Almighty, the creator, the lord of the universe.

So, if you really deny all these people,.

Tafseer of Surah Al-Mulk

Allah Almighty says,

فَمَنْ یُّجِیْرُالْكٰفِرِیْنَ مِنْ عَذَابٍ اَلِیْمٍ

Tafseer (Verses 29-30)

Conclusion

Who will protect the disbelievers from a severe punishment? “No one,” because you are denying Allah (SWT), It is very simple, my brothers and sisters; we just have to open our eyes and our hearts to the truth.
